The South Weber Weather Porch is currently powered by a DAVIS Weather Monitor II weather station with the following options: Rain Collector II, External Temperature/Humidity Sensor II, and WeatherLink software package. This system has been operating since 04/1995 and has performed very well and has had few problems.

Ambient Software's Virtual Weather Station (VWS) software is one of the true values left in the World today.  VWS has proved to be an invaluable tool for easily and effectively establishing the South Weber Weather Porch web site.  VWS updates the South Weber Weather Porch web site with up-to-date weather conditions from the South Weber area. 

Statistics recorded from this weather station are reported to ABC affiliate KTVX and News 4Utah's meteorologist Dan Pope on the Weather Porch.  The News 4Utah weather team is the best around and their innovative weather and graphical systems are exciting to watch.

Rain Collector II

Add the Rain Collector II to any Davis weather station (except Perception) to measure daily and accumulated rainfall.  Designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization, our self-emptying tipping-bucket design is exceptionally accurate. Separate versions measure rainfall in 0.01" or 0.2 mm increments.

External Temperature/Humidity Sensor II

Allows you to measure outside humidity and dew point in addition to temperature. For use with the Weather Monitor II only.  Replaces the standard external temperature sensor. Includes 40 feet of cable.

WeatherLink

For the ultimate in weather monitoring, link any Perception, Weather Wizard, or Weather Monitor to an IBM® compatible PC or Macintosh® using our optional WeatherLink. Create graphs, calculate average weather conditions, generate summaries, analyze trends, and more. The WeatherLink stores data until it is transferred to your PC. Data may be exported to third-party spreadsheet or database software.

User-friendly software features include:
